Be cited."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.consortium.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/orbi-logo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2184\" title=\"orbi-logo\" src=\"https:\/\/www.consortium.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/orbi-logo.jpg\" alt=\"Orbi Logo\" width=\"221\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a>Starting in 2013, University of Luxembourg&#8217;s new publications server will be the place to go to deposit all of your scientific publications.<\/p>\n<p>ORBi <sup>lu<\/sup> , the University of Luxembourg\u2019s new publications server will contain everything from peer-reviewed journal articles, conference proceedings, book chapters, your contributions to collective works, to oral presentations given at scientific conferences, and more.\u00a0 It will replace the current publications server.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s in it for me?\u00a0 Visibility, accessibility and impact.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Visibility:<\/strong> by entering the details of your publications, and thanks to indexing by Internet search engines, your research will be visible to other scholars in your field. Wouldn\u2019t it be great to go to Google Scholar, Scirus, or ScientificCommons and find references to your work?<\/li>\n<li><strong>Accessibility:<\/strong> by including the full-text of your publication, your work isn\u2019t locked away behind a pay wall. Anyone, anywhere can read it.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Impact:<\/strong> if your work is being read, then it is more likely to be cited. Isn\u2019t the main problem with impact the fact that your article or book chapter can\u2019t be found or accessed?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Why are we introducing ORBi <sup>lu<\/sup> ?\u00a0 In a word, to promote our research.\u00a0 ORBi <sup>lu<\/sup> is designed to make our research visible to the outside world.\u00a0 Through indexing by Internet search engines, research done at University of Luxembourg will be easier to find for other scholars outside of Luxembourg.<\/p>\n<p>To see ORBi <sup>lu<\/sup> in action in advance, take a look at <a title=\"Orbi Uni Li\u00e8ge\" href=\"http:\/\/orbi.ulg.ac.be\/\" target=\"_blank\">ORBi<\/a> at the University of Li\u00e8ge (ULg).\u00a0 Developed by ULg, it has been in use there since November 2008 and its success is unprecedented.
