{"id":6018,"date":"2016-02-03T16:47:27","date_gmt":"2016-02-03T15:47:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.findit.lu\/?p=6018"},"modified":"2016-02-03T16:47:27","modified_gmt":"2016-02-03T15:47:27","slug":"inspec-has-been-cancelled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.consortium.lu\/?p=6018","title":{"rendered":"Inspec has been cancelled"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Consortium Luxembourg has made the decision to cancel <strong><em>Inspec<\/em><\/strong> due to significantly low use and budget constraints.\u00a0 <strong><em>Inspec<\/em><\/strong> is no longer be available since 1st February 2016.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Inspec<\/em><\/strong> is a bibliographic database that is produced by the <em>Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)<\/em> and provides abstracts and indexing to scientific and technical papers in physics, electrical engineering, electronics, communications, control engineering, computing, information technology, manufacturing, production and mechanical engineering.<\/p>\n<p>Although we avoid cancelling resources whenever possible, we must make this decision on occasion. In times where bibliographic references can also be found in search engines like <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.consortium.lu\/?page_id=2532\">GoogleScholar<\/a><\/strong> or even <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.a-z.lu\" target=\"_blank\">a-z.lu<\/a><\/strong> (<em>Digital Library &#8211; Scholarly articles<\/em>) we would like to set our focus on financing full text databases like, for this discipline, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/a-z.lu\/BIBNET:BNL_MLBNL01148\" target=\"_blank\">PROLA (American Physical Society)<\/a><\/strong> or <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/a-z.lu\/BIBNET:BNL_MLBNL00960\" target=\"_blank\">IEEE Xplore<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any comments on this, please send an e-mail to <a href=\"mailto:help@findit.lu\" target=\"_blank\">help@findit.lu<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Consortium Luxembourg has made the decision to cancel Inspec due to significantly low use and budget constraints.\u00a0 Inspec is no longer be available since 1st February 2016.
