Vendredi, 18 mars 2016 :<\/em> Signature d\u2019un Memorandum of Understanding<\/strong> entre le Max Planck Institute Luxembourg for Procedural Law et la Biblioth\u00e8que nationale de Luxembourg (BnL) en vue d\u2019une coop\u00e9ration entre les deux organisations visant \u00e0 int\u00e9grer le Max Planck Institute dans l\u2019infrastructure du Consortium Luxembourg pour l\u2019acquisition et la gestion de publications num\u00e9riques<\/em>, g\u00e9r\u00e9e par la Biblioth\u00e8que nationale.<\/p>\n

Le Memorandum a \u00e9t\u00e9 sign\u00e9 par le professeur Burkhard Hess, directeur de l\u2019Institut Max Planck \u00e0 Luxembourg et Monique Kieffer, directrice de la BnL, en pr\u00e9sence de Juja Chakarova, responsable de la biblioth\u00e8que de l\u2019Institut et de Juliane Schulze, collaboratrice la Section du Consortium de la Biblioth\u00e8que nationale.<\/p>\n

Consortium Luxembourg<\/strong><\/p>\n

Le Consortium Luxembourg a pour objet l\u2019acquisition et la gestion de publications \u00e9lectroniques rendues accessibles via le moteur de recherche www.a-z.lu<\/a>. Il est g\u00e9r\u00e9 et coordonn\u00e9 par la Biblioth\u00e8que nationale qui assure aussi la n\u00e9gociation des contrats de licence avec les fournisseurs et \u00e9diteurs. Le Consortium rassemble la Biblioth\u00e8que nationale, l\u2019Universit\u00e9 du Luxembourg, le Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) et le Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH). Actuellement, plus de 53.000 titres de revues \u00e9lectroniques, 99.000 ebooks scientifiques et 370 bases de donn\u00e9es sont accessibles, pour la plupart \u00e0 distance, par les usagers et lecteurs des institutions membres du Consortium.<\/p>\n

Max Planck Institute Luxembourg for Procedural Law<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n<\/em>The Institute is the first Max Planck Institute on legal matters outside the German borders. It owes its existence to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg which finances the Institute entirely, as a part of a broader strategy of the local government to develop Luxembourg as a center for academic excellence and higher education. The location in Luxembourg is ideal for a Max Planck Institute focusing on procedural law: Luxembourg is indeed the synonym for the constant development and expansion of the legal systems of the EU Member States by means of European law and of the jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the European Union. The MPI has already established a continuous and productive dialogue with the European courts and institutions. A close cooperation exists with the faculty of law of the University of Luxembourg in research and also in teaching and with the National Library of Luxembourg in library matters. The MPI library subscribes to 40 online legal databases containing more than 24,000 electronic journals to facilitate the research of the Institute. It is also open to researchers from Luxembourg and visiting guests.<\/p>\n
