New Trial: Oxford Scholarly Editions Online – Classics

Consortium Luxembourg is pleased to announce that it is offering now a trial access to Oxford Scholarly Editions Online – Classics until 15 November 2019.

The prestigious Oxford Scholarly Editions are fully available online and are publishing original Latin and Greek texts together with translations and commentaries. The Classics wing of Oxford Scholarly Editions Online contains texts and translations of all the major Latin authors – from Horace, Ovid, and Virgil, to Pliny The Younger, Sallust, and Tacitus – as well as the Greek tragedians Aeschylus, Euripides, and Sophocles.

Following modules are available:

  • Latin Prose
  • Greek Comedy
  • Greek Tragedy
  • Latin History
  • Latin Poetry
  • Latin Drama

The possibility of showing the original texts next to the commentaries and translation facilitate all research and study activities. Different tools on every page make research easy and quick whereas the navigation to particular authors, works and lines allows a precise study.

Finally, the research and study experience is enriched by the link to related content within Oxford Scholarly Editions Online and to the Oxford Latin Dictionary where individual Latin words can quickly and easily been looked up.

The access is available until 15 November 2019 for the users with a library card of the National Library and University of Luxembourg.
