Ab sofort bis Ende September 2018 steht allen Nutzern der Uni-Bibliothek, Nationalbibliothek sowie dem LIST und LIH ein Test-Zugriff auf sämtliche Inhalte der Nomos eLibrary zur Verfügung.

Mit der Nomos eLibrary bietet der Verlag einen komfortablen Zugang zu Verlagsinhalten aus den Bereichen Recht, Politik, Wirtschaft, Medienwissenschaft & Kommunikationsforschung, Geschichte, Soziologie, Bildungsforschung, Kulturwissenschaft, Europa, Gesundheitswissenschaft, Philosophie und Religion.

Consortium Luxembourg is happy to announce that we are providing test access to Statista until 31st of March.

Statista is one of the world’s largest statistics and market data platforms with access to more than 1 million statistics, forecasts, dossiers, reports and infographics on 80.000 topics from more than 22.500 sources. From the rabbit pet food market value in the UK, to the number of registered buses in Alaska, a survey of most needed changes for the Cuban population to the a breakdown of mobile gamers in China. The platform combines economic data, consumer insights, opinion polls and demographic trends.

Think of it as a sort of “Google for Stats & Numbers”. A “one-stop shop” where you receive quality insights in order to underpin your academic work & hypotheses with relevant stats & numbers.

All data can be downloaded within seconds in 4 different office formats. On top, every user receives full publication and usage rights of the data (useful if you present at a conference or for a report). Automatic Citation output is included, too. The Oxford English Dictionary (OED) is widely regarded as the accepted authority on the English language. It is an unsurpassed guide to the meaning, history, and pronunciation of more than 600,000 words, past and present, from across the English-speaking world.

As a historical dictionary, the OED focuses not only on the meanings of the word, but also on the history of the word, and how its meaning has changed over time. The OED traces the history of the English language through 3 million quotations, from classic literature and specialist periodicals, to films scripts and cookery books. Updates revise and extend the OED at regular intervals, each time subtly adjusting our image of the English language.
