Consortium Luxembourg is pleased to announce that we are now offering a trial access to CINAHL Complete until 30 September 2020.

CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature) provided by Ebsco is a research tool for nursing and allied health professionals. With CINAHL Complete, users get fast and easy full-text access to top journals, evidence-based care sheets, quick lessons and more.

CINAHL Complete provides broad content coverage including 50 nursing specialties, speech and language pathology, nutrition, general health and medicine and more. CINAHL Subject Headings help users effectively search and retrieve information and follows the structure of the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) used by the National Library of Medicine.

Access is possible for all users with a library card of the National Library, University of Luxembourg, LIST or LIH.

Temporary access to additional electronic resources

The current global COVID-19 pandemic affects the worldwide information community and therefore several publishers are offering temporary access to additional electronic resources.

In addition to all content that we’re already subscribing to, here’s the list of resources that are now accessible with a library card of the National Library, University Library, LIST or LIH. The list will be updated regularly.

RILM Music Encyclopedias

RILM Music Encyclopedias is a continually expanding curated full-text collection that currently comprises 57 titles published from 1775 to the present. Its content spans various fields and subject areas of historical musicology, ethnomusicology and theory, with focus on topics ranging from popular music, opera, instruments, blues and gospel, to recorded music and women composers.

Remote access to British Periodicals

British Periodicals is temporarily accessible remotely. Usually, this database is only accessible within the University of Luxembourg.

British Periodicals provides access to the searchable full text of hundreds of periodicals from the late seventeenth century to the early twentieth, comprising millions of high-resolution facsimile page images. Topics covered include literature, philosophy, history, science, the social sciences, music, art, drama, archaeology and architecture.

Remote access will last until 20 June 2020.

Coronavirus Research Database

Including coverage of the COVID-19 outbreak, this database curates openly available content related to coronaviruses. It includes thousands of open-access articles from the world’s leading publishers as well as current research from pre-print repositories such as arXiv and will continue to grow and evolve as more is learned about the pandemic.

Remote access for law databases

You may now access the following databases from home and don’t need to be logged in to the library network. Please note remote access will only be available as long as the National Library and University library (LLC) are closed!

Die Germanische Altertumskunde Online verzeichnet den aktuellen Stand der Forschung im Bereich Alte Germanische Geschichte, die neben der germanischen auch die Kulturgeschichte des nördlichen Europa umfasst. Die einzelnen Artikel behandeln die Sachgebiete Geschichte, Archäologie, Kunstgeschichte, Ethnologie und Religionswissenschaft. Darüber hinaus sind alle Einträge des Reallexikons der Germanischen Altertumskunde in diesem Referenzwerk enthalten.

Um die gewünschte Information zu erhalten genügt eine einfache Suche auf der Plattform, da der gesamte Inhalt von Germanische Altertumskunde gleichzeitig durchsucht wird.

Ab sofort bietet das Consortium Luxembourg einen Testzugang zur Ebook-Kollektion von utb. utb ist eine Kooperation von 15 Verlagen mit einem gemeinsamen Ziel: Lehrbücher und Lernmedien für das erfolgreiche Studium zu veröffentlichen. Jährlich erscheinen über 200 neue Titel aus mehr als 30 Fachbereichen: Von Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften über Natur- und Wirtschaftwissenschaften bietet utb die wissenschaftliche Grundlage für den Alltag an Universität und Hochschule.

New Trial: Oxford Scholarly Editions Online – Classics

Consortium Luxembourg is pleased to announce that it is offering now a trial access to Oxford Scholarly Editions Online – Classics until 15 November 2019.

The prestigious Oxford Scholarly Editions are fully available online and are publishing original Latin and Greek texts together with translations and commentaries. The Classics wing of Oxford Scholarly Editions Online contains texts and translations of all the major Latin authors – from Horace, Ovid, and Virgil, to Pliny The Younger, Sallust, and Tacitus – as well as the Greek tragedians Aeschylus, Euripides, and Sophocles.

Following modules are available:

  • Latin Prose
  • Greek Comedy
  • Greek Tragedy
  • Latin History
  • Latin Poetry
  • Latin Drama

The possibility of showing the original texts next to the commentaries and translation facilitate all research and study activities. Different tools on every page make research easy and quick whereas the navigation to particular authors, works and lines allows a precise study.

Statista – New tool Global Consumer Survey

Consortium Luxembourg is happy to announce that the platform Statista is now offering the Global Consumer Survey, a new complementing tool focusing on consumer behavior and media usage. The survey covers more than 50 topics including Media & Digital Media, Marketing & Social Media and Characteristics & Demographics. The tools offers data from more than 50 industries in 46 countries. 400 000 consumers have been participating to ensure data reliability.

Have a look and learn more about the consumer behavior related to the topic you are most interested in. You can even define your target group yourself and create your own customized survey results.

Numérique Premium met à votre disposition plusieurs bouquets thématiques de documents numériques. Ceux-ci correspondent à la production de 50 éditeurs et sociétés savantes francophones.

DU MOYEN ÂGE AU 20e SIÈCLE — Romans – Contes – Nouvelles — UN CLASSIQUE DE L’ÉDITION ÉLECTRONIQUE

Dans le cadre d’un accès d’essai ayant cours jusqu’au 13 mai 2019, vous pourrez consulter le Corpus de la littérature narrative du Moyen Âge au xxe siècle via Classiques Garnier.

Coproduit par les Classiques Garnier et le CNED – ministère de l’Éducation nationale, le Corpus de la littérature narrative est une bibliothèque virtuelle généraliste qui couvre tous les programmes (collèges, lycées et universités). Le spécialiste et le chercheur y trouveront des textes référencés et édités selon les règles de l’édition scientifique.

Le Corpus de la littérature narrative propose l’accès en ligne à plus de 1 000 œuvres narratives (romans, contes, nouvelles).
De Chrétien de Troyes à Alain-Fournier et Marcel Proust, le Corpus de littérature narrative réunit les plus grands auteurs et les plus grandes œuvres de ces huit derniers siècles et offre la possibilité de les interroger de façon simple ou complexe.

Le texte
Le texte de base choisi pour l’édition électronique correspond au texte original de l’œuvre dans la dernière édition du vivant de l’auteur et approuvée par lui. Si ce texte n’existe pas, le texte considéré comme le plus fiable par les spécialistes est retenu (une autre édition du vivant, l’une des éditions posthumes, un manuscrit, etc.).

Les niveaux d’édition des textes

  • L’édition diplomatique: le texte original choisi est édité à l’absolu identique
  • L’édition en graphie moderne lorsqu’il est nécessaire
  • L’édition en traduction pour la période médiévale (accompagne la version en ancien français)

New Trial: access to University of Chicago Press Journals

Consortium Luxembourg is pleased to announce that it is offering now a trial access to University of Chicago Press Journals.

University of Chicago Press is the largest university press in North America with more than 120 years of publishing experience.

The trial gives access to all journals published by the University of Chicago Press. The journals are peer-reviewed and correspond to a large spectrum of disciplines, from the humanities and the social sciences to the life and physical sciences.

The access is available from now on until April 1, 2019.

Consortium Luxembourg is pleased to announce that it has trial access to SAE Digital Library, a comprehensive digital resource encompassing more than 226,000 technical papers, standards, ebooks, magazines and related publications from SAE International and other organisations in the mobility engineering industry. Known as an authoritative resource by top engineering companies and universities around the world, SAE International is a global association of more than 128,000 engineers and related technical experts specializing in transport industries such as automotive, aerospace, and commercial vehicles.
